Mike and Stephanie Gentry joined PHLOC 186 on 11/01/2003 at Marina Pointe. Stephanie battled a long history of ill health and was unable to participate in a lot of the club’s activities that she wanted to. She was a parrot head with the spirit of a great hope. Stephanie died in her sleep Feb. 27.2006 at the age of 36. Stephanie was a loving and supportive mother of two very active boys Drew and Evan. Mike was promoted with his job and they moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 2005. Although Mike and Stephanie still have family in Evansville, she will be buried in Tallahassee where she and her family have developed strong ties and happiness with their church and community.
God has called home another angel in a tropical shirt. Sail on my friend. Fins Up!

For efforts above & beyond the call of duty, the PHiP Board is pleased to present the Bravo Zulu Award to Ms. Whitney Kissel & Parrot Heads of the Lower Ohio Valley.
As a young chapter, this small band of gypsies in the palace tackled their recent Relay For Life event with a vengeance, determined to make an impression and embody the “Spirit of the Great Heart.”
With a number of members putting in a 16+ hour day, the club was awarded “Gold” status, reserved for those groups raising more than $5000, they were third in money raised with a total of $5350, and they finished second in the Best Campsite contest with their tropical theme.
On behalf of the entire “ParrotHead Nation” congratulations and thank you … Y’all did us all proud!!
