Jeff Kiesel, 51, died suddenly at his home of a massive heart attack on March 4, 2008. Jeff and his wife Kathy of 27 years joined PHLOC 186 in 2005 and went to Key West with 12 other members of the PHLOC in 2005 after Hurricane Wilma wrecked havoc on the Keys. After a 24 hour Harley ride, enjoying the scenery in his unique carefree manner, they joined in the festivities of Meeting of the Minds. Jeff was “baptised, so to speak” fully dressed and in his Harley boots in the ocean by some wild women following a day at the Margaritaville Street Festival.
Jeff was a kind and caring man, he enjoyed drag racing and was a member of NHRA, an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping with his beloved family and friends. He was a member of Abate of Indiana and enjoyed riding his Harley Screaming Eagle Road King with his buddies and family. Either alone or with friends, he was the King of the road and his free spirit took him all over the country side just riding.
Life is a journey Jeff, enjoy the ride…you will be missed.

This past weekend we were sponsors of the SMILE on Down Syndrome Buddy Walk with contributing over $2600.00 for that cause while hosting our second annual golf scramble for the Alzheimer’s Association followed up with an all nighter Party Like a Pirate Luau with The Whaleshark from Lahina, Maui.
Lots of hours spent together for a cause and grateful as possible for the 16 members of the SIPHC joining us for both and helping us raise $1600.00 for Alzheimer’s. We will add this total to the Memory Walk later this month.
Seems like all of our events run right on top of each other but we survive them and take a deep breath to recover and start all over again.
Happy fall to all those gearing up for their trip to the Keys where I wish I was going to be.
